On Saturday, April 23, 40,000 men and women from across the world will throng Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala to toast with Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Muhoozi will be celebrating 48 years of age in style.
The battle-hardened UPDF commander last celebrated birthday in 2019 at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
The chief organizer Michael Toyota alias Toyota, a close relative of Gen Muhoozi said the event kicks off as early as midday and will run till dawn.
This website understands Toyota has already invited 40,000 guests through printed invites which will be presented at the entrance.
“We have guests from all East African countries, Africa and the world at large. All those we have invited especially foreigners are all Muhoozi’s friends,” said an organizer.
The invited include businessmen and women, politicians, celebrities, elites, clerics, royals, medics and many more.
Toyota has this whole weeks been holed up in meetings to ensure the event is a success.
Among the issues discussed are security and how to observe the health SOPs being mindful that pocket cases of Covid-19 are still being reported in the country.
Meanwhile several groups have organized parallel events across the country to celebrate Muhoozi’s birthday.
Prior to Lugogo bash, there will be a run around Kampala which has also been organized by Patriots club. The run will start from Kololo grounds.
The ‘birthday boy’ earlier this week said after the bash, his father President Yoweri Museveni will host another dinner at State House on April 24.
Muhoozi’s guests have already started jetting into the country as the event gains steam.
