President Yoweri Museveni has elevated army MP Col Charity Bainabaabo to the rank of Brigadier General
He has also appointed her the Deputy Commissioner of the Special Forces Command (SFC), the elite army force charged with protecting the president and country assets.

Col Charity Bainabaabo promoted to Brig Gen & appointed D/Comd SFC, Col David Mugisha promoted to Brig Gen & appointed 2IC 3Div & Lt Col Nathan Nabimanya promoted to Col and appointed Comd 2SFG,” a tweet by the UPDF Spokesperson says.
Brig Gen Charity was among the few people who accompanied Land Forces boss Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba to Kigali as he led Uganda’s rapprochement efforts with the Kigali administration, following years of strains in the two countries’ relations.
