Michael Ssegawa has been appointed Resident District Commissioner for Jinja South Division.
Ssegawa, formerly worked at Daily Monitor as features editor before he resigned and started an online news site www.watchdoguganda.com.
Ssegawa at a time of the appointment has been serving as Mukono Municipality Councilor a seat he won as an independent candidate defeating NUP contender.
He has been massively involved in extending services closely to the common man.
Contacted to very if the name on the list released by President Museveni was his, Ssegawa confirmed. “I am the one.” He thanked the President for identifying him, promising to serve the country with his head high.
Earlier in the day, the President released the list of newly appointed, transferred and retained RDC’s in the country.
“I hereby inform the Country that By virtue of Authority given to the President by Article 99 (1) and 203 (1) of the 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, I hereby appoint the following RDCs, DRDCs,” Museveni tweeted.
