Emmanuel Munyaneza, a Rwandan refugee living in Uganda has Thursday morning been found dead in his house.
His body was discovered by residents together with Police officers at Namasuba, Kakajo Zone in Kampala district.
The deceased aged 71 was accorded a refugee status in 2018 and given a Refugee Identity Card.
According to authorities, Munyaneza could have been strangled.
“We found marks on his neck. It is likely that he was strangled,” said an official at the Office of the Prime Minister. The official asked not to be named.
The body of the deceased has been taken to Mulago Mortuary for postmortem.
Security has launched investigations into the matter.
