Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Commander of Land Forces (CLF) has never tweeted about the arrest of Kakwenza Rukirabashaija, a government critic.
A screenshot of the alleged tweet which circulated widely by pro-opposition social media enthusiasts has been dismissed by the office of CLF.
“Gen Muhoozi did not post any information regarding Kakwenza’s arrest or detention,” said Land Forces Spokesperson, Maj Chris Magezi.
Magezi doubles as spokesperson of the office of Senior Presidential Advisor in charge of Special Operations headed by Gen Muhoozi.

Magezi said the alleged Tweet was concocted.
“It’s a fake Tweet. If you are not keen, you can be misled that it’s genuine,” Magezi said on Tuesday night.
Magezi challenged anyone who retweeted or quoted the alleged Tweet to speak out and share evidence.

The screenshot doesn’t have a comma to separate the day of the month of December (Dec) as is the case with other Tweets.
Additionally, at the same time (12:29PM), Muhoozi Tweeted on his official account: “‘Every man thinks meanly of himself for not having been a soldier!’ Samuel Jackson.” This Tweet’s timestamp (as showed below) is indicated as 12:29 PM Dec 29, 2021.
