Exclusive Photos: Gen. Kandiho in South Africa to Deliver Museveni’s “Special Message” to Ramaphosa

President Yoweri Museveni has dispatched one of his top military officers for “specialised mission” in South Africa.

The Chief of Military Intelligence Gen Abel Kandiho has since delivered a special message to President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa.

Kandiho, a highly skilled UPDF soldier, was received by South African acting Chief of Defence Intelligence (CDI) Maj. Gen. Sigudu.

Kandiho was later hosted to a dinner by his counterparty and other military generals in the intelligence fraternity.

This is not the first time, Museveni is sending Kandiho on special duties abroad. In May, the President dispatched Gen. Kandiho to meet Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye at Presidential palace of Gitega.

Kandiho and Ndayishimiye talks focused on regional stability and bilateral relations of the two East African nations.

At a time of Kandiho’s visit to South Africa, Uganda is in DRC battling ADF- a terror group that has dared to destabilize the region.

Kandiho has been crucial is flushing out rebels from Eastern Congo.

President Museveni before authorizing the attack on ADF, told the nation that Uganda was “talking to African allies” on how to manage the ADF problem that had pitched camp in DRC.
