Security Exclusive: Rwanda quietly Deploys Special Forces platoons into Eastern DRC territories

Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF) has deployed its tactical and lethal unit The Special Forces in small squads in the towns of Eastern DRC.

The unit Initially used to conduct conduct raids across the Rwandan border from DRC and the attacks would be blamed on

FDLR-FOCA and RUD-Urunana and RPR-Inkeragutabara.

The RDF deployment comes high on heels of Uganda and Congo joint military efforts to flash the terror group- ADF that has pitched camp the territories of Eastern DRC terrorising civilians, recruiting young children and dispatching terrorists into neighbouring Uganda.

According to classified military information obtained by this website, Rwanda’s deployment at the border is intended to attract more large number of RDF troops claiming claiming to retaliate and pursue the attackers based on DRC.

“The initial focus will be in the Rutshuru territory, especially in Rumangabo, Masisi, Bunagana, and Nyamilima,” the classified report suggests.

“The next phase is to go further north into Lubero territory, especially Kanyabayonga, Lubero and Butembo and then cross into Beni territory,” the report adds.

“Once the deployed platoons reach Lubero and Beni territories, sources said that Rwandan Defense Forces will plan to attack the Ugandan Defense Forces and blame the ADF for the attacks.”
