2 Lesbians who Survived Lynching in Mengo arrested

Suzan Nabankema and Isabella Nabasinga have been arrested and detained at Bakuli police post in Mengo after they were allegedly found practicing lesbianism.

A case of homosexual has been opened against them under vide 07 /110/ 11/ 2021

According to information obtained from the police officers handling the case, the two were rescued from charged residents and local authorities who attempted to lynch for being involved in unholy act.

As the residents clobbered them, some local leaders invited police which swiftly responded to the scene and whisked them to custody.

The parents of Suzan had warned Isabella to stay away from their daughter.

A section of residents told police that the ‘couple’ moved to a hotel (which cannot be disclosed for confidentiality) before they could alert Suzan’s parents who stormed the premises and caught the ‘love birds’ red handed intimate.

Eyewitness says Suzan’s mother tearfully said she would kill Isabella Nabasinga if she gets an opportunity because of leading her daughter into condemned matter.

The residents wondered if the two have not promoted, taught or recruited other children in the community into homosexuality.

Lesbianism is disallowed and considered illegal and contrary to the traditional norms in Uganda.

It’s also perceived an abomination which can not be tolerated within the community and as such promoters of this practice face very serious charge in courts of law and death incase the community gets there hands on them.
