Tina Drazu

Tina Drazu is a Senior First Officer (co-pilot) with Uganda Airlines. She  graduated from Cape Flying Services in George South Africa in 2010 before going on to start her flying career with Asante Aviation in the same year flying the Cessna Caravan 208 initially as a First Officer.

Experience with them included flights in challenging environments such as South Sudan, Congo and Central Africa. With the experience gained, Drazu was able to find another opening in Aerolink (Uganda) limited in 2012 where she initially joined as a First Officer on the Cessna 208, eventually becoming a Captain on the aircraft in 2013.

She was also appointed manager of safety and security spearheading the implementation of the IATA safety management system certification. With the relaunch of the national airline in 2019, Tina as she is popularly known,  became one of the pioneer pilots in the airline and has since served as diligent First Officer on the CRJ900 (Bombardier) and was the first copilot in the airline to successfully complete the type rating training on the A330 in Miami ,Florida.

Known for her lively positive attitude, keen sense of humour and objectivity, she is a much admired, valued and respected member of the flight operations department, one in whom many can agree with the statement , “In Tina we Trust”.
