Uganda and Kenya’s presidential hopefuls, Kizza Besigye and Raila Odinga have held a closed door meeting in a pursuit of their “liberation dream.”
Whereas details of the meeting remain scanty, Mr Odinga who has eyed Kenya’s Presidency for over a decade now took to Twitter to commend his Ugandan counterpart for being focused.
Kizza Besigye has opposed the regime for now 22 years, of which 20 he contested against his former Commander in Chief (CIC) Gen Yoweri Museveni but lost.
Besigye declined to participate in an election held early this year predicting “same old song” of losing.
“It was great catching up with my long-time friend Dr Kizza Besigye and I discussed the liberation dream that is still being pursued in many of our nations,” Raila Odinga tweeted.
“I commend him for staying focused on the well-being of our people.
