Ugandan athletes who won gold, silver and bronze in Tokyo, Japan have Tuesday returned home.
Friends, family and well-wishers waited for Peruth Chemutai, Joshua Cheptegei and his compatriot Jacob Kiplimo at Entebbe Airport to cheer for the sprinters.
Cheptegei, the world record holder in men’s 10,000-meter, bagged silver in that category in Olympics while Kiplimo scooped bronze.
Ugandan steeplechase runner, Peruth Chemutai won the gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo in the women’s 3000 meters.

Cheptegei would late secure gold in men’s 5000 meters.
