Prime Minister Nabbanja oversees OPM which supervises the NUSAF project

Prime Minister Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja has said her life could be in danger after she received life- threatening messages from unknown people who are enraged by her fight against corruption.

She told a meeting of Bunyoro sub – region parliamentary group and journalists on Friday at Parliament that some lady had the courage to drive all the way from Kampala to Kakumiro to tell her brother to convey a warning message.

The message questioned Hon Nabbanja’s motive in blocking her business channels.

It was not readily established the lady Hon Nabbanja was referring to as the PM declaimed to disclose her names.

The development follows PM Nabbanja’s rejection of substandard blankets , mosquito nets and rotten beans purchased by Prime Minister’s office for distribution to displaced people in Kasese

The Prime Minister who flew in a military chopper to Kasese halted the distribution of relief items to displaced Kasese people. She  instituted an investigation in the purchase of the items and warned corrupt elements against tarnishing government’s image.

She told journalists that she requested for a report on the substandard items which  she received but  the report was unconvincing.

This culminating in the matter being referred to the Inspector General  of Government (IGG) , State House Anti – Corruption unit and the police to investigate.

Hon Nabbanja threatened to  blacklist the blankets’ manufacturing company and promised to purchase better items for the suffering Kasese people .
