KATUMBA SHOOTING: Bounty for Wanted terrorist Sheikh Bukenya raised to Shs.20m

Joint Security Agencies actively investigating the assassination attempt on UPDF General Edward Katumba Wamala have offered shs 20 million for information on the whereabouts of terrorist leader Sheikh Abu Badir Bukenya.

Bukenya, according to security analysis is the the overall coordinator of domestic terror cells, in the country.

Security had earlier offered shs 5 million but has since raised the reward to 20 million.

Police spokesperson Fred Enanga said the 20 million will be taken by whoever can share information that can lead to the arrest of Bukenya who has been identified with “Smoking gun” evidence that he is the head of the domestic terror that has been carrying out these ferocious criminal attacks.

The use of reward money has become an important asset in the fight against terrorism world over.

Bukenya’s name came up during interrogation sessions on detained gunmen who were executed an assassination attempt on Katumba leaving his daughter ad driver dead on June 1, at Kisoota road, Kisaasi.

The arrested criminals confessed to have been behind numerous murders and robberies conducted in the city.
