Ugandans urged to File and Pay taxes before End of June

URA stakeholders share ideas during Post Budget E-Conference

With only 15 days left to the end of the financial year  2020/2021, the Chairperson Kampala City Traders Association – Uganda (KACITA-U) and the Executive Director Uganda Manufacturer’s Association (UMA), in a uniform voice with URA have urged all taxpayers to file their returns and pay their due taxes ahead of the 30th of June 2021 deadline.

This joint business advisory message seeks to guide businesses to streamline their tax matters as a safeguard against tax fines that result from tax non-compliance.

URA and its partners seek to enable businesses by facilitating them to mitigate the risk of these penalties and interest. In line with this message, the URA Commissioner

General, John Rujoki Musinguzi commits that, URA officers across the country are ready to support the public in meeting the deadline.

This was during the first day of the E-Post Budget conference held at statistics House.

In observance of the SOPs for the COVID-19 Pandemic, URA Encourages all taxpayers to utilize the online services to file returns and make payments.
