Newly appointment Prime Minister Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja has responded to her critics saying they will be surprised by her leadership capabilities.

Singling out FDC honcho Hon Ibrahim Ssemujju who took the media to ridicule her appointment, Hon Nabbanja appearing on NTV on Friday morning said that people like Ssemujju are intolerant.

She however, appealed to all doubters to give her a chance saying she will steer the government business in a very stable conduct. She maintained that many will be shocked in a small period of time.

“I will surprise them. Just give me time,” she said.

Nabbanja who began her political career from the district said she has gone through all the levels of leadership and she purely understands the issues of all Ugandans.

“I have been there. I was a deputy RDC, I have been in Parliament and I have been a minister. You can see I have enough experience,” she told the show host Faridah Nakazibwe.

She added; “There is a reason why God sent me.”

Nabbanja boldly remarked, “Faridah. I am a decision maker. I have made decisions in the past and have contributed to the growth of this country.”

Nabbanja is the first female Prime Minister in the history of Uganda.

President Yoweri Museveni on Thursday justified her appointment saying he is following the path of Jesus Christ who chose fishermen as his disciples.

Equally Museveni said this time round he went for fishermen instead of intellectuals.
