President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appealed to Ugandans living upcountry to stop traveling to Kampala and Wakiso as statistics indicate these districts are the epicenter of the new variant of Coronavirus.
Museveni said that scientists have found out that most regions apart from central have not been infected by the virus.
“The graph indicate that western region, eastern region and the North expect a few places are still safe,” he said.
Museveni was addressing the nation on Saturday in relation to spiraling cases of Covid-19.
Figures indicate that Kampala and Wakiso have so far registered the highest numbers in resurgence of Covid-19.
The Ministry of Health earlier recorded 700 new cases.
