Museveni’s meeting with NUP coordinators Rattles Bobi Wine

Museveni posted this picture on Twitter as he addressed NUP members at State House Entebbe.

National Unity Platform (NUP) principal Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has taken to Twitter to discredit President Yoweri Museveni after the latter tweeted a picture while addressing what he called “a section of NUP coordinators and members” at State House Entebbe.

Museveni said he exchanged views with the group and appreciates their ideas on different failures of his party NRM.

He pledged to work with the group to address these issues.

“Meeting a section of coordinators and members for the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) at State House Entebbe. I appreciate their views on the different failures of the NRM, and my assurance is that we shall work together to address such,” Museveni said.

Using the same platform, Kyagulanyi fiercely responded to Museveni alleging that he has killed and tortured some NUP supporters and therefore deserves no audacity to parade people he claims belong to NUP.

“Shameless! After killing, maiming, torturing and imprisoning NUP supporters, he has the audacity to pay & parade people and claim they’re NUP! His usual methods! He’s too desperate to cleanse himself as the world gets to know the extent of his raw greed and brutality.” Kyagulanyi posted.

It remains unknown whether the group that met Museveni at State House has defected to NRM.

Preparations for Museveni’s swearing in which will take place on 12th May at Kololo Independence Grounds are in high gear.

He will receive instruments of power and also take oath of office for the 6th time having won an election on January 16 with 58%.
