“Baby, mummy, yes baby how are you,” those are words that begin a phone conversation between Ex COU Archbishop Stanley Ntagali and his lover Judith Tukamuhabwa, a wife to Kabale Rev. Christopher Tugumehabwe.
In the leaked recording obtained by this website, Judith sounded angry and threatened to name the baby “Ntagali” once he was born.
Judith accused Ntagali of abandoning her in a difficulty time as she carried his pregnancy.
Both Ntagali and Judith spoke in vernacular languages Rukiiga and Runyankore in a conversation that lasted for 12 minutes.
“I am not fine. I am going to bring your baby and you stay with him. I am going to bring this baby boy once I give birth,” Judith said.
In response the prelate kindly begged Judith to stay with the baby as it would cause an embarrassment to the whole world.
“Why are you angry? They are all children please,” Ntagali said.
She accused him of ignoring her calls and lying that he had been in meetings from 12pm to 11pm.
“Why do you make me angry? Why aren’t you considerate? Don’t you think I am risking? Do you know the stress this pregnancy brings? What if I got a problem? Imagine I went to hospital alone in the night, what if they killed me?” Judith argued.
“Please forgive me,” a remorseful Ntagali said. Judith responded; “I will pay you back. I will bring your child. Prepare a house and land for him.”
Ntagali reminded Judith that bringing the child would be risky, “You want the child crucified with Jesus since we are getting into Easter?”
In a strong voice, Judith wondered why Ntagali’s wife would dare burn her baby. “How can she burn my baby? She will be arrested. She burns my baby as who?”
A determined Judith reminded Ntagali that his wife should learn that a man can have two wives. “You mean she has never seen a man with two women, she won’t be the first.”
But the man of God advised Judith that it is not right to provoke her ‘co-wife’ by bringing a baby into her house, to which Judith protested, “the baby has a right to see his father.”
Judith reminded Ntagali that when a baby boy grows up, he wants to know who the father is. Ntagali replied that “things are tough” he also begged for forgiveness saying Judith is very kind and generous.
More excerpts of the lovers’ phone conversation will be published in the next article.
Judith’s husband Rev. Christopher Tugumehabwe recently threatened to sue Ntagali if he doesn’t pay shs 530 million as damages for eloping with his wife.
In the petition, Tugumehabwe admits that Ntagali fathered a baby boy with his wife Judith Tukamuhabwa.
This development comes after Ntagali publicly apologized for commiting a sin with Judith, bringing shame to the Church and also apologized to his wife and Rev.Tugumehabwe.
The man of God was suspended from Church by his successor Archbishop Stephen Kazimba Mugalu over the scandal.
