A team of the Uganda people’s defense forces led by Lt A.W Mugonyi in collaboration with the ministry of health on Friday carried  out a covid-19 vaccination campaign aiming at vaccinating church leaders, their families and their followers at City of the lord church in Bwaise, Kalerwe.

The UPDF was invited by ministry of health to give manpower backup and expertise in the covid-19 vaccination.

The activity was blessed by the overseer of Kawempe pentecostal churches Bishop Peter Mutebi who appreciated the Uganda People’s Defense Forces and the Ministry of Health for taking the church into consideration.

The campaign had a target of vaccinating over 500 church members and the people from the neighborhood today and it ended up catering for all group of people from 18 years and above.

Religious leaders who got their jabs implored Ugandans to play their role and get vaccinated and ignore the social media misinformation.

“No father can give poison to his own children thus the government is trustworthy and we thank the UPDF and the ministry of health for the good work”, Said Odongo Moses the National clerk of born again churches in Uganda.
