Seasoned news anchor Samson Kasumba has been selected by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to replace Don Wanyama as his Press Secretary.
Kasumba will be leaving NBSTV over the weekend to prepare for his new job at State House.
According to a source, President Museveni indicated that the appointment is immediate since Mr Wanyama will be taking over New Vision next week on Tuesday.
Our source at State House who asked not to be mentioned said that Museveni was impressed by Kasumba’s communication skills and his background as a theology student since he was taught to convince people to believe in what they have never seen and honoring a book (bible) whose author they have never known.
That kind of a person is good for spinning and people will believe him without a doubt.Many people inside and outside State House had already began lobbying and positioning themselves to grab Wanyama’s job but the news of Kasumba’s appointment leaves a huge blow to them.
When contacted for a comment, Kasumba told this website that he is hugely excited to be already preparing for his day at NBSTV in this new month of April on Fools Day.
