Museveni: I am going to Deal with LDUs

President Museveni

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will receive his first dose of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine tomorrow Saturday at State House Nakasero.

Health Ministry PS Dr Diana Atwine confirmed the news to this website.

“It is true, we shall give the President the vaccine tomorrow at his home in Nakasero,” Diana said.

The development clears air on falsehoods peddled by an American Paper, Wall Street Journal that Museveni and his inner circle secretly received the jabs a few months ago.

The story which would later be carried by a local daily- Daily Monitor prompted the President to sue the newspaper saying it had published fake news that pit him and his family against the rest of Ugandans.

Health Ministry came out vehemently to dismiss the allegations by the American paper.

Museveni will be come the second member of the First Family to publicly receive the jab after his son Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba got vaccinated early this week.

Several prominent officials both in government of out of service and renowned businessmen have since been vaccinated.

One of them is former Premier Amama Mbabazi who was vaccinated on Thursday along with his wife Jacqueline Mbabazi.

Members of Parliament, security officials, doctors, teachers and other frontline workers are being vaccinated.
