The Director of Internal Security Organization (ISO) for West Nile region Taban Amin has Friday been grilled by detectives at the Criminal Investigations Department –CID over his involvement in gold deals.
Mr Amin has been questioned over allegations of defrauding USD 8 Million from Americans.
According to Charles Twine, the CID spokesperson Taban has been implicated for participating in the crime.
He says detectives at the CID are currently grilling him.
Taban Amin, is the son to former Ugandan President Idi Amin Dada.
President Yoweri Museveni in October last year appointed Taban Amin as the new Deputy Director-General of ISO.
However, the President was dismayed by reports Taban’s involvement in gold deals and subsequent defrauding of foreigners.
He directed that Taban is investigated by CID.
