The High Court in Kampala has Monday directed all security agencies to immediately vacate Robert Kyagulanyi’s residence in Magere, Wakiso District.
Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has been placed under preventive house arrest for close to 11 days by a joint security team of police and the military.
Police said it was acting on intelligence that Bobi Wine planned to cause anarchy to protest the presidential election results announced by Electoral Commission recently.
Bobi Wine rejected the results in which he scored 34%, he said his victory was stolen by EC and with the help of military operatives.
On Thursday last week his lawyers led by Medard Segona filed a court application seeking to refrain security to vacate Bobi Wine’s home.
High Court ruled in their favour on Monday morning.
“Breaking; The High Court has issued an order directing police and the military to vacate Hon Kyagulanyi’s premises,” Bobi Wine’s spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi tweeted.
Details of ruling follow.
