To celebrate his re-election with his Kampala supporters, President Yoweri Kaguta will tomorrow (Thursday) pitch camp at City Square after making a triumphant entry into the city.
Since the eve of January 14 election, Museveni has been at his upcountry home in Rwakitura where he welcomed the news of his return to office after garnering 58% of the total votes.
According to State House, Gen. Museveni will use the road on his way from Rwakitura and is scheduled to make several stopovers in the major towns on Masaka Highway.
And at 6pm, the President will meet his fans at City Square in the heart of Kampala and will interact them.
The government spokesperson Mr Ofwono Opondo indicated that Museveni will Thursday stop at Lyantonde at midday, Kyazanga at 1pm, Lukaya at 2pm, Kayabwe at 3pm, Mpigi at 4pm, Busega at 5pm and City Square at 6pm.
Museveni has been elected into office for the 6th term.
He faced off with 11 contenders but the race was between him and Robert Kyagulanyi who scored 34% of the votes.
However, Museveni didn’t not perform well in Kampala district.
