EC Set to Start Verification of Supporters for Nomination of Presidential Candidates

Paul Bukenya is the spokesperson of Electoral Commission.

The Electoral Commission has suspended with immediate effect political campaigns in Kampala and other major towns in Uganda categorized as “High Risk” in spread of Coronavirus.

The development has been confirmed by Electoral Commission spokesperson Mr Paul Bukenya.

He said the Commission has suspended campaign meetings in districts/cities categorized by Ministry of Health as having high spread of Covid19.

“From 26/12/20, no campaign meetings will be held in Mbarara, Kabarole, Luwero, Kasese, Masaka, Wakiso, Kabarole, Jinja, Kalungu, Kazo, Kampala & Tororo,” Mr Bukenya said.
