Indian business Community led by Sudhir to State House endorses Museveni

A group of Indian investors led by tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia have met President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at Entebbe State House on Sunday. 

The Asian businessmen together with Investment Minister Evelyn Anite and NRM Presidential Candidate discussed how to add on the social economic development.

The head of the Indian Association in Uganda Mohan Rao praised Museveni for the able leadership he has demonstrated by leading the country for the last three decades.

Sudhir who also serves as Napalese Consul to Uganda thanked the President for ensuring peace and stability, adding that it had spurred their community into investing in Uganda.

“On behalf of the entire business community, we thank you the President and the NRM government for the favourable business environment. We commit to supporting you,” said Mr Sudhir said.

Addressing the leaders, President Museveni commended the Indian community for supporting the industrialization drive in Uganda and its resultant gains.

“Manufacturing has created 700,000 new jobs and yet the whole public service is 480,000 jobs. Manufacturing alone has more jobs than those in public service,” he said.

As far as the country is concerned and according to NRM’s campaign slogan ‘Securing the Future and achieving vision 2040, Museveni and Anite are looking at creating avenues to end unemployment in Uganda by welcoming more investors in Uganda.
