New Vision’s Kabushenga self-isolates after PA tested Positive for COVID

Kabushenga is the CEO of New Vision.

The Chief Executive Officer of state owned newspaper New Vision has gone into self isolation after his aide tested positive for COVID-19, this website has learnt.

Robert Kabushenga has not been in office the whole of this week. His absence has triggered speculation that he was fired and replaced by David Mafabi, a Presidential Advisor.

But Mafabi was elected to the Board as a director last week replacing Jimmy Mugunga.

The speculation gained momentum on Wednesday when Kabushenga didn’t attend a meeting with Col. Edith Nakalema which happened at industrial area based New Vision offices.

The head of State House Anti-Corruption Unit paid a courtesy visit to New Vision ahead of the Unit’s second anniversary next week.

Nakalema has been visiting several media houses to strength her media relations the press as stakeholders in fighting graft.

The rumour which spread widely on social media suggested that Kabushenga’s woes stemmed from his failure to counter opposition’s propaganda in the ongoing Presidential campaigns.

But TrumpetNews understands that Kabushenga who is in isolation will bounce back once he is pronounced negative after the mandatory 14 days.
