Military has deployed heavily outside the premises of Electoral Commission (EC) head offices in Kampala ahead of Robert Kyagulanyi’s planned meeting with the Chairman Justice Simon Byabakama.
EC spokesperson Paul Bukenya has confirmed that the meeting will happen on Wednesday (Today) at 11am.
Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine on Tuesday suspended his campaigns over police brutality and said he would first seek answers from EC.
Speaking to this website Mr Bukenya said his boss has since allowed to meet Bobi Wine.
“Candidate Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert, requested to meet the Returning Officer and Chairperson/Electoral Commission, today, Wednesday 2nd December 2020, to make a presentation on issues concerning the conduct of campaigns for Presidential Elections,” Bukenya said.
He added that, his request has been granted by the Returning Officer/Chairperson.
“Hon. Kyagulanyi is expected at the EC Head Office at 11am, and will be accompanied by a team of five persons. Please note the principals will address the press after the Meeting.”
