‘Defiant Candidates addressing Mass Gathering face Arrest, Disqualification’

Bobi Wine has been addressing huge crowds contrary to EC guidelines.

Iganga Magistrates Court has Friday released Robert Kyagulanyi on non cash bail.

However, Court has conditioned Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine to comply with Electoral Commission (EC) guidelines and Ministry of Health SOPs.

Bobi Wine was arrested on Wednesday in Luuka district where he was slated to meet his supporters on a rally.

EC, however, had banned mass rallies insisting that political candidates must meet only 200 supporters.

Kyagulanyi had been confined at Nalufenya, in Jinja.

He was charged with doing an act likely to spread infectious diseases, under section 171 of the Penal Code Act.
