A team of specialists at Mulago Specialized Hospital successfully carried out a 20-hour surgery to separate the conjoined twins.
The news was broken by Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Diana Atwine who took to Twitter to appreciate the doctors that conducted the surgery.
“Thanks to the team. We continue to strive towards excellence in specialized health care,” she said.
Ministry of Health didn’t provide details but said that the surgeons who successfully separated these siamese twins will address the media on Tuesday at 2pm at the hospital.
The Press briefing will take place at Lower Mulago, Block B level One Theatre.
