Mbarara High Court has again thrown out Minister Molly Kamukama’s petition seeking to block the nomination of NRM flagbearer for Kazo Woman MP Jennifer Muheesi.

Nomination by Electoral Commission for all political party MP flag bearers kick off Thursday (Tomorrow) until Friday.

The Acting Deputy Registrar Samuel Twakyire on Wednesday read the ruling arising from Application Number 05 of 2020 where Molly Kamukama appealed the previous verdict.

The former President’s Private Secretary (PPS) participated in the hotly contested NRM race seeking to represent the people of Kazo District.

However, she lost in a vote recount which took place after a week from the polling day.

The NRM Electoral Commission Tanga Odoi thus declared Muheesi the flagbearer which Molly contested.

She asked Court to disqualify Muheesi on grounds of rigging, an allegation Court found devoid.

Muheesi defeated Kamukama last month with 16,802 votes while she garnered 16,715 votes.

Last  Thursday, High Court presided over Justice Joyce Kavuma ruled that the evidence the petitioner brought to court was not substantial to warrant blocking Muheesi’s nomination.
