Army airlifts Justice Gadenya for Treatment after Nasty accident in Masindi

The UPDF administration has sent a helicopter to Masindi to evacuate Justice Paul Gandenya who got involved in an accident on Monday morning on Kampala- Masindi highway.

Gadenya was travelling to Masindi High Court.

Reports say the judge’s official car registration number UG 0781J had a head-on collision with another car registration number UBH 831 in Bigando-Masindi.

He Justice sustained serious injuries and was earlier rushed to a nearby health facility for immediate medical attention.

According to Solomon Muyita-the Judiciary Spokesperson, the Judge is in “bad shape” but efforts are underway to airlift him to Mulago National Referral Hospital courtesy of the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF).

“The UPDF is sending a chopper and we expect it to be there in about 30 minutes to be airlifted to Mulago National Referral Hospital,” Muyita said.

Justice Gadenya was early this year appointed Masindi Resident Judge, replacing Justice Albert Rugadya Atwoki, who retired last year.
