Police has finally discovered the body of Amira Alwi, a five year old girl who drowned along with her mother Shakira Kaweesa in River Nile on Sunday evening.
The two were among four tourists whose boat got an engine failure before it could be carried into Kiira power station spillways.
Shakira’s husband Hassan Alwi (senior) and his 9 year old son Jafalu Alwi survived the accident.
Shakira was buried Monday in Isingiro District.
Kiira Police Spokesman Abbey Ngako confirmed that Amiru’s body had been recovered following two days of intensified search.
