“I am badly off I need this money”, says Basajja Mivule while Defecting to NRM

After spending 27 days in the struggle to oust President Yoweri Museveni, popular government critic Basajja Mivule has instead joined the regime to crush the opposition.

Mivule, a controversial veteran journalist who swore allegiance to budding opposition leader Hon Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine 27 days ago accuses the same man of dictatorship and building a cult of uncultured, wanton, lunatic and radicalized supporters in National Unity Platform.

Earlier Monday, this website reported that Mivule was set to meet President Museveni. After the closed door meeting at Nakasero, Mivule went ahead to address the media in Ntinda in Kampala to officially announce that he has joined NRM.

Last month he was arrested for issuing derogatory remarks which he admits could have sparked off an upheaval in form of genocide.

Addressing the media, Mivule in a horse voice said Bobi Wine is surrounded by traitors who are already on Museveni’s payroll.

“Even those who are in NUP, they all ate and are working for Museveni. People Power doesn’t exist,” Mivule spilled secrets.

However, he didn’t name the particular moles in NUP.

“I have seen a list where they sign to get money from NRM,” he added.

He wondered why moles in NUP would be on his case when he hadn’t received a coin from government.

“Please get me that money. I am badly off and I need it,” he said.
