The Titular head of Muslims in Uganda Prince Kassim Nakibinge has Thursday met the top leadership of National Unity Platform (NUP) a new political party led by Hon Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine.
A few days ago, Bobi Wine penned a letter to Prince Nakibinge requesting for a meeting.
In the letter dated July 30, Bobi Wine addressed the challenges faced by moslems in Uganda and further told the Prince that he intends to stand for President of Uganda.
“I look forward to having an opportunity at your earliest convenience to meet and discuss with your more constructively how we can bring about the long lasting change in the governance of our country,” part of the letter reads.
Bobi Wine had earlier challenged Buganda Kingdom to back his candidacy saying Baganda couldn’t afford to abandon their own son.
