Preliminary results from tally centers across Uganda show that Speaker of Parliament Hon Rebecca Kadaga, Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah, State Minister for Housing Chris Baryomunsi and businessman Sanjay Tana are leading Central Executive Committee (CEC) race.
CEC is the top most decision making organ of the party comprising 9 elected members who include the NRM Chairman, 1st Vice Chairman, 2nd Vice Chairman, vice chairman for North, Central, Kampala, East, Karamoja and Western Uganda.
So far results being registered at the NRM tally center indicate that Speaker Kadaga is leading Persis Namuganza, Sanjay Tana is trouncing Mike Mukula, speaker Jacob Oulanyah is likely to win Sam Engola and Chris Baryomunsi is leading Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza.
