Ivan Manzi, 23, a worker at Club D Zone in Kisoro Town was Wednesday killed by a workmate identified as Edson Kazungu.
The deceased a Rwandan national has been a resident of Chahi in Central Division, Kisoro municipality.
Kigezi police publicist Elly Maate told journalists that Kazungu hit Manzi on the head with a hammer after they developed disagreements while at worker.
The bar manager Emmanuel Rukundo reported the case to police.
Manzi was rushed to hospital in Kisoro but later died.
Police is hunting for the suspect who remains at large and the body of Manzi was undergoing a postmortem at Kisoro hospital morgue.
