A team led by police commandos on Friday morning cordoned off Radio Simba in Bukoto and arrested four workers who are accused of initiative a tribal card in their popular comic video after alleging that top government seats are all occupied by people from the same region.
The four comedians are under satirical comedy group ‘Bizonto’ include: Julius Sserwanja alias Kidomoole, Mbabaali Maliseeri (Uncle Luyuguumo), Sssaabakaaki Peter – Omuzinyuuzi and Gold Ki Matono – Opeto.
According to a statement issued by Radio Simba, the group has been arrested over a viral comic video they shared earlier this week highlighting powerful people in government who come from the western Uganda.
They will be charged for promoting tribalism.
