SECURITY EXCLUSIVE: ISO RAID: Museveni Furious with Kaka over False Intel on Close Army General

UNDERFIRE: Col. Kaka Bagyenda

The ‘ghost’ of false intelligence reports authored by Internal Security Organization (ISO) on sister security outfits has returned to haunt Col. Frank Kaka Bagyenda, the agency’s Director General, TrumpetNews has exclusively established.

In the wee hours of Friday, operatives of Military Intelligence raided a number of ISO’s safe houses in Kampala and neighbouring towns.

The raid comes two days after Col. Kaka was summoned at State House, Entebbe by the Commander in Chief (CiC) Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

The subject of the stormy meeting remains undisclosed, however, a source at State House told this website that Gen. Museveni expressed discontent over fake reports which ISO has over time fed him.

One of those false reports that rubbed the Head of State the wrong way was about a UPDF General who is close to Museveni.

The contents of the damning report remain unrevealed.

“But Museveni chose that particular report as a subject of discussion,” a source who referred to the matter as “too sensitive” said before declining to divulge more details.

The army General at the center of contention, a source added that has long time risen through the ranks, held very sensitive assignments and positions.

“Therefore the ISO report had put him on collision path with the President whom he considers as his mentor,” added a separate house.

When contacted to substantiate on the claims, ISO Director General told this website “that is not my job” before ending the call.

The President’s spokesperson Don Wanyama couldn’t pick our repeated calls. Similarly, the army publicist Brig. Richard Karemire didn’t answer the phone calls.

The raid comes high on the heels of a heightened rift between ISO and Military Intelligence.

In the recent past, a top spy Simon Odong heading ISO’s cyber department was arrested by CMI for manufacturing fake intelligence reports submitted to the President.

This is a developing story…
