The UPDF establishment has Thursday morning lost three high-ranking soldiers just three days after the death of Brig. Jackson ‘Bell’ Tushabe.
The three soldiers who died Thursday include; Maj. Gen. Eric Mukasa, Brig. Victor Maregano and Col. Nkeera.
Gen. Mukasa, a UPDF chief of staff reserve force died from Nakasero Hospital after a long illness, the army publicist Richard Karemire said.
Also Col. Nkeera died from the same health facility on the same morning.
Karemire added that Brig. Victor ‘fell in the bathroom’ and died instantly on Thursday morning at his home in Nyarushanje, Rukungiri district.
At a time of his death Brig Gen. Victor Maregano Twesigye was Uganda’s Defence liaison officer at EAC headquarters in Arusha Tanzania.
Karemire says the army will issue a statement on the deaths of these three senior officers.
He added that it is painful to lose three generals and a colonel in one week.
Brig. Bell a fierce NRA combatant died Monday from Nakasero Hospital. He had been sick for sometime.
In the bush, he belonged to the dare devil category of commanders like Jet Mwebaze (RIP), Stanley Muhangi (RIP), Col. Patrick Lumumba (RIP) and Brig. Matayo Kyaligonza.
His death comes barely a month after the demise of another bush war hero, Maj Gen. Kasirye Ggwanga.
