Dorothy Kisaka, who has been nominated to serve as the substantive Executive Director for Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has for the first time spoken out on her nomination.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday morning, Kisaka says the role of leadership is a call to serve with humility and dedication.
If vetted and approved by the Public Service Commission (PSC), Kisaka will replace Engineer Andrew Kitaka who has been the acting ED following the resignation of Jennifer Musisi.
“The role of leadership is a call to serve with humility and dedication. I am grateful to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for identifying the great Kampala City
and her great people as the place I should now serve, and work with others, to meet the aspirations of the citizens,” Kisaka said.
Earlier she had revealed that her nomination as Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director was a “surprise.”
“Friends, I was pleasantly surprised by the nomination by President Kaguta Museveni to the office of ED of KCCA and I thank you for the many good wishes. While we await due process, I want to thank you for the generous donations to the government for COVID-19 Fund,” she said on Tuesday.
Before her nomination last week, Kisaka was working as Governance Advisory at the Office of the Prime Minister and doubled as Fund Administrator for the National Response Fund to COVID-19.
Last Friday, Museveni dropped KCCA acting Executive Director Andrew Kitaka and replaced him with Kisaka.
