Tycoon Kavuya’s Family again cleared for International Travel

The government of Ugandan in conjunction with Kenyan authorities have given Brian Kavuya and his wife Karatanya Komuhangi green light to travel to Nairobi at a time both countries’ airspaces are a no gone zone.

Brian Kavuya is a son to city money magnet Ben Kavuya whose other members of the family were recently allowed to travel to Uganda from USA when thousands of Ugandans are stranded abroad.

In a letter dated June 12, Ambassador Charles Ssentongo who represented the Foreign Ministry notified Ministry of Health, Interior Ministry and UPDF about Kavuya’s travel to Nairobi to accompany his wife to Agha khan Hospital.

“Reference is made to our letter number PRO, 380/04 dated 1oth June 2020.

Mr Brian Kavuya passport number A00198227 is the husband to Mrs Karatanya Komuhangi who was cleared for medical evacuation to Nairobi scheduled on 16th June 2020.” Amb. Ssentongo’s letter reads in part.

He added: “He has obtained permission from the government of Kenya to accompany his wife for medical attention at Agha Khan hospital.

The family has committed to comply with COVID-19 control measures in both Uganda and Kenya.

This is to request for your necessary facilitation, to enable Mr Kavuya to accompany his wife during the medical evacuation.”

This development comes at a time, Uganda government has cancelled plans to evacuate all nationalities who are stuck abroad.
