Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda has decided to go into self quarantine after his contacts tested positive for Coronavirus.
“Friends, I have gone into self isolation after some of my contacts tested positive for COVID19. My own test result is negative, however, I have taken this decision as a health recommended measure,” Rugunda tweeted on Friday morning.
Whereas it remains unclear who his contacts are, the Ministry of Health had earlier announced that all Ministers in Uganda were Friday subjected to mandatory testing.
Rugunda has been one of the government officials at the center of combating the pandemic.
What prompted the Ministry of Health to impose a mandatory test is yet to be known.
This is a developing story…
