Muhoozi suggests Uganda and Rwanda should build Statues in every Town to Honour Museveni and Kagame

Gen. Muhoozi

Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame are the greatest military heroes in African history, according to the First Son Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

Therefore, their countries must honour these revolutionaries by erecting statues in all towns as a sign of appreciation and respect, Muhoozi suggests.

“The greatest military heroes in Africa’s history. Generals Museveni, Saleh, Rwigyema and Kagame. They achieved the impossible. We should build statues in their honour in every town in Uganda and Rwanda,” the Lt. General took to his Twitter page.

Muhoozi is President Museveni’s son and serves as Presidential Advisor on special operations in Ugandan government. The 3 star army general previously commanded the SFC, a lethal unit in UPDF tasked to oversee the First Family’s security.

Muhoozi’s suggestion comes against a backdrop of heightened tension between Uganda and Rwanda that resulted into closure of the border by Kagame’s government.

The two East African nations have since been involved in talks to renew their good relations.

But Muhoozi sometime back said Museveni and Kagame are brothers who would never resort to war despite protracted disagreements.

However, Muhoozi’s controversial tweets have come under scrutiny by the public particularly at a time when the country is grappling with a global pandemic.

But Muhoozi clarified that a Twitter account is a personal platform where an individual expresses his opinions.
