UBA speaks out: Bank Operations Remain Unchanged Despite Temporarily Closing Branches

UBA-UGANDA

“UBA has temporarily closed 7 of its 15 branches because of the ongoing disruptions caused by the COVID 19 pandemic. The temporarily closure is to reduce the physical contact of customers and staff at these branches.  All staff working at these branches are still employed by the Bank and no single staff has lost their job.

When the COVID 19 situation is under control and all business operations in the country return to normal, all the branches will be reopened and resume normal operations.

The bank is still able to offer services to customers at the remaining branches and through its digital channels including Mobile banking, Internet banking, LEO Chat banking and Agent banking

A similar approach has been taken by all banks to ensure seamless service delivery while protecting both staff and customers from contracting COVID – 19”
