Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) head, Bemanya Twebaze has commended Rotarians for the great opportunities that Rotary has created for many vulnerable communities.
Bemanya who is the Registrar General / Official Receiver was the chief guest at the Installation of the 18th Rotary Club of Bukoto.
He thanked the members of Rotary Club of Bukoto for the achievements registered during the term of President Gloria Katuku who handed over to Mercy K. Kainobwisho, who will be the President of the club from 1st July 2020 to 1st July 2021.
Bemanya further, appreciated the work done by the Past 17 Presidents of the Club . He thanked Rotarians for being compliant people and informed the attendees that the URSB has a record of 120 Rotary Clubs registered in UGANDA.
The RG further encouraged Rotarians to encourage the people they support to form businesses for life sustainability.
The Chief Guest gave tips of leadership to the incoming President and Board of Directors. He advised that to be successful leaders they need continuous learning and Improvement, be intentional, encouragers, learn to make declarations and commitments, be helpers, allow to be helped,
learn to make choices, Save time by doing useful things and ignore immaterial things, grow high performance teams, be courageous and not forceful, listen and learn, lead with a heart, and have the spirit of gratitude.
The Registrar General who confessed to have joined Rotary many years and later become inactive because of busy schedules, committed to re-join and support the work of rotary.
The handover ceremony was presided over by the Past District Governor Ken W. Mugisha who re-assured the new leaders of his continuous support to the club.
The Rotary Club of Bukoto was chartered on 21st March 2003 and has successful implemented impactful projects including construction of a school in Gomba District, renovation of Mbuga Primary School in Kiruhura, Water and sanitation projects , Free health Camps in Gulu and Gomba, Free monthly Immunisation Services in Mulimira Zone , Payment of school fees for Orphans, youth empowerment among others.
There are 120 rotary clubs registered by Uganda Registration Services Bureau doing great projects.
