Jailed ISO operative Simon Odongo Rushed to Bombo in Critical Condition

Simon Odongo is in critical condition.

The army has Thursday morning evacuated Simon Peter Odongo from Makindye Military Detention to Bombo army hospital for urgent medical attention.

Odongo was in critical condition with breathing complications.

He has been on remand at Makindye following his arrest early this month by Military Intelligence from home in Kirinya, Bweyogerere.

According to medical records available from a Kampala based hospital, Odongo suffers from acute Asthma, diabetes and blood hypertension and has been on medication for a very long time.

The Ugandan.com a new outlet reports that that Odongo was rushed to Bombo military hospital as his health conditions worsened because of over bleeding from a gunshot wound coupled with diabetes and asthma.

At a time of his arrest, Odongo was shot at as he tried to resist arrest.

“Simon is in bad shape, the gun shot wound is causing problems because as you know diabetic patients once they get an injury it can be gravely devastating, now with acute asthma he is unable to breath well,” the Ugandan.com reports.

Odongo was was charged with only one account which was illegal possession of two firearms and military uniforms.

He found with a pistol and an AK47 Rifle which Odongo insists were legally given to him by ISO.
