Ashburg Katto is in the spotlight for denouncing People Power leader Robert Kyagulanyi and defecting to the ruling NRM.

A popular blogger whose role was to disseminate information on internet, reveals top-notch secrets after Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s supporters hugely ganged up on him after his defection.

Katto, speaking to this website on Wednesday said he built Bobi Wine through online because then, the Fire Base president was gullible how the internet worked.

“When I joined Bobi Wine he had a following of only 15000 while his closest nemesis Bebe Cool had 100000,” said Katto.

He adds that he officially started working for the ghetto gladiator in 2012 until 2020 when he hung boots following suspicion and mistrust.

“Working for Bobi Wine has been entirely loyalty. You can’t expect to be paid anything single coin.”

Katto was however, prompted to leave People Power when Bobi Wine’s supporters claimed that he had kidnapped himself and that he a regime element.

“I expected Bobi Wine as a leader to come out and clear air by defending me. But rather he simply kept silent which threw a signal that he was also suspecting me of spying on him,” Katto added.

After his announcement, some of the radicals came out to question his role in People Power maintaining that his absence will not be felt.

To Ashburg this is contrary; “We had a whatsapp group of only 8 people called Enforcers. We were the highest decision making organ of People Power.”

He therefore adds that he is a great asset and therefore, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni had made a big catch.

Mr Kyagulanyi responded to Katto’s defection saying he has learnt to stand alone while fighting for truth and justice.

Ashburg Katto and his colleague Ray Superstar were delivered to Museveni by events promoter Balaam Barugahara.

They met Museveni at his Kisozi farm and presented a proposal “ghetto initiative” which the President agreed to fund.

Katto said he will soon have a fully furnished office where he will run his operations.
