Just in: Uganda Confirms 2 new COVID-19 Cases; Patients are Tanzanian Truck Drivers

Thirteen new COVID-19 cases have been reported Wednesday evening by Ministry of Health bringing total number of infections to 139.

The Ministry said that out 1741 samples taken of cargo drivers, 13 returned positive.

Among the patients, 7 are Ugandans and 5 Kenyans and one Eritrean.

“Tracking them commenced and the public will be informed accordingly,” the Ministry said.

All 363 community samples tested negative for COVID-19.

Uganda has not registered any COVID-19 related death with 55 recoveries.
