Untold Story: Chris Obore’s ‘Ghost’ Haunts Busoga Minister Helen Namutamba

A photo montage of Obore and Namutamba

For along time, Helen Namutamba has committed ‘atrocities’ but somehow managed to get away with them courtesy of her connections and knowing people that matter in this country.

Among her protectors is Speaker Rebecca Kadaga not only her tribe mate but also an ardent subject of Busoga Kingdom to which Namutamba serves as a Minister of Tourism.

Namutamba, those known to her ways, is very ruthless when it comes to executing her duties but mostly she is ruthless when she is chasing ‘deals’ and she will crush anyone who stands in her way to fail her plans.

Namutamba has frustrated many people within and outside government who are deemed a threat to her channels of making money.

This website has a long list of complaints against Namutamba, but her biggest weapon has been her ‘smartness’ until she ran out of lack and arrested by Police on claims of cyber harassment.

Namutamba using her Facebook proxy Brian Kinene opened a cyber war against Bukedea Woman MP Anita Among little did she know Among is 10 times more powerful than she is because the legislator has the President on a speed dial while Namutamba is a mere Secretary to the President in charge of poverty alleviation in Busoga.

But the two youthful ladies share a mutual friendship in Speaker Rebecca Kadaga.

Among the officials who have consistently suffered Namutamba’s persecution is Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah, who at one point was pronounced ill and would never survive having been airlifted to Germany  for urgent medical treatment.

The claims were made on Facebook by Brian Kinene.

Well, Namutamba on Wednesday appeared at CID head offices in Kibuli to answer her charges. She was later taken home for search.

BUT, that is not the story, in this article we want to reveal how Namutamba fuelled the sacking of Parliament’s Director of Spokesperson Chris Obore by using the Speaker’s office and the office of Lady Justice whose names are withheld.

Untold Story

Last year, Chris Obore while serving Parliament as the spokesperson despite his frosty relation with his boss Rebecca Kadaga continued to fulfil his mandate. Obore was known for showcasing independent opinions on social media particularly Facebook through his person account.

But on the fateful day, he then issued a post about a Lady Justice (names withheld) who was in charge of a commission whose mandate was to resolves land disputes around the country.

Usually, the commission conducted its duties on camera, grilled prominent people in presence of the media and sometimes, the Lady Justice would raise her voice to those who appeared before her.

To Obore, the Judge’s conduct to some extent was unwarranted.

Chris Obore, against that backdrop penned quite a long missive explaining his discomfort with the Judge and the Commission as a whole, little did the man from Bukedea know that his opinion could catapult into his sacking.

From a reliable source who revealed to this website, Helen Namutamba had to immediately convene a crisis meeting over Obore’s conduct.

Namutamba is somehow an ally to this judge.

She told the Speaker’s handlers that what Obore had done could be perceived as a attack on the Judiciary and since he represents/ speaks for Parliament, many would assume that the two arms of government are at war.

Namutamba who had a direct access to the Speaker told her that by not acting, the judiciary would think Kadaga sent Obore to undermine the judge.

This website understands that she coordinated the two sides to officially have Obore kicked out of office.

Until today, Chris Obore remains ignorant why one morning he found his office with new door locks and a letter sending him into an indefinite leave. Yes Obore could have had issues with his superior but Namutamba’s was the last nail in the coffin.
